The oil light in a 2017 Jeep Renegade comes on every 3,000 - 5,000 miles to let You know the current oil and filter needs to be replaced. Once You have changed the oil You need to reset the light so it can do its job the next time. In order to do this You will need to turn the ignition on but do not start the engine. With the key in the On position You need to slowly press the gas pedal all the way to the floor and release it three times within a ten second time span. After You have done this You can turn the key off and then fully start the engine to verify that the light has been reset.

To reset the oil level warning or maintenance light in your 2017 jeep renegade vehicle, turn the ignition key to the "on" position and depress the gas pedal slowly three times. Release and start your vehicle and the oil light should indicate a reset.
