The 2008 Ford Escape 2.3 liter 4Cylinder engine's water pump is located under hood in the engine bay on the passenger's side of the vehicle. It is housed toward the front of the bay, below and behind a pulley powering it. Removing the Escape's upper and lower radiator hoses, the center facing battery and the intake assembly will provide repair access to the water pump.
