The heavy braking of the 2017 Ford Transit 250 should be regularly serviced. To replace one of the rear brake rotors, first remove the caliper by unbolting the two upper and lower bolts securing it. These are accessible underneath the vehicle and inside the wheel hub. With the caliper freed, pop both brake pads out. The inside pad is equipped with a pin to connect to the piston and the exterior pad's surface will not feature a pin. With a 19/32 wrench remove the two bolts holding the remaining caliper bracket. Using the same wrench release the 5 bolts securing the axle to the rotor. Place a drain pan below the axle to catch the gear oil and slide it from the hub. Twist the rotor and slide off.
