You now own a Ford Escape, and You need to remove one or more of the seats. This is a fairly simple task, and shouldn't take much longer than 30 minutes or so, depending on how many seats You are removing. To begin, You will need to have a socket set and a ratchet. Use these hand tools to remove the bolts from the side of the chain. Next, push the chain backward as far as it will go, and find the mounting bolts hidden underneath the front of the seat. You will also need to remove the bolts that are found along the floor. Now, lift the seat forward again, and disconnect the wiring harness via the locked tab. Finally, gently lift Your chain out of the vehicle, being careful to untangle any harness wires if necessary.
