To change the battery in the 2018 Ford Escape You will first need a new battery that is the size of Group Size 96R, 590 CCA. The cost of a new battery for the vehicle is anywhere from $100 to $200 depending on the brand and the store. Next You will need to open up the hood, leave it propped open with the prop rod and find the battery which is on the driver side. After doing all of that You will need to take the air box off which is held on with 4 8mm bolts and then take the air filter out. Then take the bottom part of the box out which is held on with pop fittings and connected to a hose. Then You will need to take the black wiring off the battery with a type of prying tool and then disconnect the positive wire and pull up on it and then You will have access to the battery and be able to take it out and replace it by reversing the process.
