When Your 2008 Chevy Cobalt has a SVC tire light on the dash then You will want to reset it after You inspect the tires. The first thing You should do is ensure that the tires are filled properly and match the recommended tire pressures that are listed on the decal in the driver's door. When You know that everything is all properly inflated then You can reset the tire monitoring system to turn off the light. The first thing You need to do is put the vehicle in the on position with the engine off and roll down the driver's window. Press the odometer button until You see LEARN TIRE PRESSURES on the screen. Then press and hold the odometer button until You hear the horn chirp and You can then drive off.

On your steering wheel on the left side if you have four buttons then it can be done. You have to go to somewhere that has excess air pressure so you can get at least 60 lb of pressure in each tire. It cannot be done unless you pass 60 lb in each tire. Then you get inside the car go to tire service front and try to hold the select button for 10 seconds if it don't change it's okay put your menu to normal cut your car off turn the key to the on position make sure the radios off make sure all tires are above 60 PSI and start with the front driver and then go to the front passenger and then go to the back passenger and then the back driver start with the front letting air out slowly and quietly until you hear it beep one time go to the next tire start letting air out of it when it beeps one time go to the back tire let air out until it beeps again go to your last wheel when you let the air out and it reaches the air it should be it should be twice this time you get in your car cut it off cut it back on five times and then the last time started when you go to turn it over. It will work.
