Resetting the 2008 Chevrolet Impala computer is easy to do, and take around 10 to 12 minutes of Your time. The first thing You will need to do is go to the driver's side of Your car, and get inside. Next, put the ignition into the on position, being careful not to actually crank the engine. Locate the erase button, and push it down. It can be found on Your scan tool. Once the codes have cleared from the computer, let the motor run for around 8 to 12 minutes. Check again, and the computer should be fully reset.

Is this the same as having to “relearn” the ecm after installing a new Throttle Body and Acceleration Pedal?
