To reset the oil life on the 2008 Honda CR-V, turn the car to run but don't start the vehicle, press the select/reset knob until engine life is displayed, hold down the select/reset button for at least 10 seconds and then the indicator and the maintenance codes will blink, then press the select/reset knob for at least another 5 seconds, maintenance codes will then disappear and oil life is reset to 100% and then all You need to do is turn off the car. The CR-V useS4.4 quarts or 4.2 liters of oil and the type it needs iS5W-20. You should do an oil change in the car every 5,000 to 7,500 miles and that will include changing the filter.
