Depending on how Your 2009 Honda CR-V is equipped, You're either going to use a button on the instrument cluster or the steering wheel to reset the oil life light. If You have steering wheel controls, turn the ignition to on without starting the engine. Press the "i" button on the wheel to get to Maintenance Minder. It will have a wrench icon. Select Enter when it's highlighted. Press Enter again and hold it about 10 seconds. When it goes into Reset Mode, scroll to the Engine Oil Life option, and select Enter. If You don't have steering wheel controls, turn the ignition to on and press the Trip stem in the instrument cluster. It will show Engine Oil Life. Press that stem and hold it about 10 seconds. Once the display starts blinking, release the stem. Twist the Trip stem to choose Reset. Press the Trip stem once again and hold it about 5 seconds. You should see the oil life reset to 100%. In both cases, turn the ignition to off and then start the vehicle to make sure the reset has been completed and saved.

For me,I don't have the Info button on the steering wheel -- after pressing and holding the Select button for 10 seconds, when the display flashed, I had to turn the Select nob until "Oil Life" only was flashing, then press Select. The display changed to show the current Oil Life reading (flashing); press and hold Select to reset it.
