To turn off the SOS warning in a Mercedes You can follow these directions. The fiSTStep You will do is shut off the engine and then turn the key back on. Then turn on the headlights and leave them on fortwo minutes. Next, turn them off and turn off the key. The message may still there at the time but will be gone the next morning. The problem has to do with the ECU having a battery voltage issue and by burning the headlights fortwo minutes, the ECU will see a voltage drop and records the new battery voltage and it should fix the issue. If You are still having problems You can take it to the dealership so they can run a diagnostic to pinpoint the issue.

I disconnect the negative terminal on battery for 10 seconds. Then connect it then this allows me to start the engine it’s annoying it’s dose this every 2 months or so
