The 2006 Dodge Charger's PCM is responsible for coordinating the main mechanical functions of the truck. To perform a PCM reset locate the interior fuse box in the luggage compartment. Unplug fuses numbered #11, #14 and #16. With the doors locked, turn the key to the "on" position without starting the car. Leave in the ignition for 5 seconds or until You hear a "chiming" sound. Continue to keep the key in the "on" slot until the vehicle chimes again (within another 5 seconds). Turn the key off and replace the fuses. The Charger's PCM or "power control module" should be reset. The cost to replace the Charger's PCM is just under $1,000 in parts and labor.

To reset the pcm on the 2006 dodge charger you need to disconnect the negative cable from the battery, when you do the pcm will loose power. After 5 min you can reconnect it and then it will be reset.
