The oil change and inspection light on Your VW Tiguan is there to remind You to get the vehicle serviced. Usually a mechanic or dealership will reset this light when they are done working on Your SUV. In the event that they did not reset it, or You are doing Your services Yourself then You can reset it easily. First You will need to turn off the engine in Your car. Next press and hold the 0.0 button on the right side of the instrument cluster. After that turn on the ignition and wait until You see the wrench light turn on and not be blinking. Once the wrench light is not blinking You can release the 0.0 button and press the left button and it will reset.

The OBD scanner doesn’t work for the inspection alert reset.

To reset the check engine light on the 2018 vw tiguan you will need to either reset the battery by removing the positive and negative cables, or connect an obd scanner and do it through there.
