For a regular reset of the bluetooth module in Your Mitsubishi Outlander, You need to get in the vehicle and turn the ignition on, but don't start the engine. Then, use the "Hang Up" button or menu item, and hold it in for at least 2 seconds. After that, You can release it; repeat this a couple times, and then turn off the engine. Additionally, You can remove the bluetooth device from the Outlander's infotainment system, turn off the vehicle, turn it back to ON, and re-add. If You need to reset the password, You'll want to press and hold the Settings Button and the Map button together for at least 4 seconds. This should bring up a service screen, where You can select "Hands Free Module". The menu after that will have an "Unlock" button. If You have a newer Outlander, You'll need to press and hold the Info/Set button and the top of the Seek Track button for at least 4 seconds, but the rest of the procedure is the same as above.

To reset the Bluetooth in the Mitsubishi Outlander, turn the ignition to the ON spot, which is achieved by pressing the on / off button twice without your foot on the trigger, and then try a single click. Click and hold down the "hang-up" button for 2 seconds. Release the button and repeat it 2 times. Do not reach 10 seconds of total time.

This worked for me:1. Ensure power is OFF for the radio. 2. Press and release the following buttons in this order 1 RPT, << SEEK, SEEK >>, 4>> 3. The words HFM DIAG should appear on the screen. 4. Press and release the SEL button. 5. Hold down the SEL button for a long time(about 5sec). 6. Disable the passcode If this does not solve your issue, or you have additional questions, please feel free to contact us at 1-888-702-4100. We are available Mon-Fri, 7am-8pm CT.

You don't change the Bluetooth on the outlander you change the device and it will Bluetooth connect. You can only have 2 at one time so if more then that you would have to delete one. Or delete being your answer on autoconnect
