There are different ways that You can reset the check engine light on the 2006 Ford Focus. For one of the ways You will need a Onboard Diagnostic Code Scanner scanner. The easiest way You can reset the light on the Focus is a passive way by just letting it go off by itseLFAfter driving it for sometime. If it eventually doesn't go off You will need to try different ways to reset it. Another way that You can reset it is by opening up the hood, finding the battery, unhooking the negative side of the battery and waiting around 5 to 10 minutes or so. If that doesn't work You will need to use the scanner by finding the diagnostic input jack, which is below the steering column either in the center or right side of the dashboard panel. Plug in the scanner, turn it on, turn the car engine on, clear the codes with the scanner, unplug it and start the vehicle.
