If Your Dodge Cummins has gone into limp mode there is a quick way to try to get it out of it. What You should do is turn the vehicle to the on position without the engine running. Then You will want to press the accelerator pedal to the floor three times rapidly. After that turn it back on and it should be cleared up. If Your vehicle is still in limp mode and there is a check engine light as well You will need to use an OBD II scan tool. Often when there is a fault with Your engine Your truck will go into limp mode to make sure that there is not excessive damage done to it.

To get the Dodge cummins out of limp mode you need to stop and shift to park. Turn the car off and wait 30 seconds, now turn it back on and it will be out of limp mode.

I have a 2003 dodge 2500 would like to now how to get it out of lim mode
I have a3500 dodge ram I change the turbo and the map sensor. Fix the manifold problem. Fix some wiring. And after all of that it still goes in to lim mode code P0299.if any one out there that can help me I would be so grateful. My mechanic are out of options. He thinks it the computer or wiring. It a 2005 /3500 dodge ram 4×4 dolly (help)

Just ran 600 miles from hunting in South Louisiana. Check engine came on last Friday morning at 19deg. Made it all the way back w no problem. Then leaving the bar lost power went into limp. NeXT light full power.Please advise as that could have been very bad chain of events!!
