Your gas tank needs to be in the beSTShape. You will come into problems at some point. The gas tank might become loose. A bad control valve may arise. The gas cap can become stuck and will be quite a hassle to deal with. There could be gas leaks, which need to be looked into pronto. Car parts will eventually become ineffective. The fuel filter needs to be replaced every 30,000 miles or so. If it doesn't get changed, You will come across issues with the performance.

To reset the gas cap light in your Jeep Wrangler, turn off the engine and push the button to unlock the door to the gas tank. Open the door, remove the cap, put the cap back on, and close the door. The light should reset. If it doesn't, you'll need an OBD-II scanner to clear it.

This does not work for my 2021 Jeep Wrangler .. It is standard shift and does not have a door for the gas cap
