How do i reset the Hyundai active bonnet malfunction?

If Your Hyundai has an active bonnet malfunction light on the dash then that means that there is a problem with the latch for Your hood. Usually this means that the hood is stuck open. When You see this light turn on at Your dash You should get out of the vehicle and go around to the hood and lift it up. If it is not released You should release the latch using the handle located in the footwell first. Once it is open You will want to inspect the latch for any signs of damage. If it is all clear You can close the hood and press down firmly to make sure it is closed.

To reset a Hyundai Active bonnet malfunction simply keep your hands at the front of the hood and push up until the hinges get pushed down and click.

Ignored this warning for a long time as it comes and go, yesterday finally my bonnet popped out from the hinges with loud bang noise. Lucky I was at the traffic lights. Wonder if it's easy to fix diy...
