You can reset the sat-nav on the Kia Sportage by holding down the FM and map button simultaneously for about 25 seconds till it turns off and on. The sat nav system uses GPS (Global Positioning System) in order to determine Your location and display it on a digital screen on the car. While the location displayed by the sat nav system may not always be accurate, it gives You a good estimate of where You are on the map and where You need to go. Furthermore, the sat nav system can be used to select the best route to Your destination from a selected point as well. You need to first have an internet connection to download and make use of the maps You need. Otherwise, You can leave the internet on to download the map on the go as well.

Useless ball of shite!! Cannot enter a destination because only allows me to enter 2 alpha letters (no numerals) I wasted an hour of my life today upgrading the software on my SD card and... No joy. Now I come onto this forum and it's "hold the fm and radio button for 25 secs" bullshit!! Hold the twats who "developed" this unusable craptology under water for an hour.... Would be a better solution!
