If the door lock system in Your Lexus IS not working then the first thing that You should do is go ahead and try to reset the door locks. Doing this is a pretty straightforward and easy task. All You need to do is hold down the unlock button for five seconds, release it, and then hold down the lock button for five seconds and release it. After that You should be able to use Your fob to press unlock and open the doors. If that does not work then the next thing to check are the fuses to the door lock actuators. If those are okay then You may need to use an OBD II scan tool to read the body control module to see if there are any errors.

To change the Lexus door lock feature, switch the ignition on without turning the engine on. Switch to neutral. Click and hold the unlock button for about five seconds. Keep neutral when shutting down the engine. Click and hold the lock button again for five seconds. It IS intended to restore the parameters.

Well what a day, key not located, followed by me not being able to lock my doors, but after 3 hours of research, and trial and error, i did it!! I did the hold the key fob 5 secs open five secs close but that didn't work. So i then sat in the car and held the key on the alarm sensor light, pressed on and off for several seconds got out the car and finally it worked !!
Having Problems Unlocking Trunk With Remote 🗝️. Manual 🔓 unlock. With The Key 🗝️ it Setts The alarm. OFF...!!!.
