In the 2013 Toyota Tacoma You can reset the maintenance oil light by following the directions posted here, You will first put Your key in and turn it to the "on" position. Go to the odometer and press the odometer to the "trip a" position, then turn the key "off". Turn the key "on" and hold the odometer button until it flashes all zeros. Maintenance light will turn off. The maintenance light is a reminder to let You know You need to change the oil in the truck. This is an important feature because oil is one of the most important fluids in the engine to keep track of and replace. If You don't there could be some major problems with the engine such as knocking as well as pistons or cylinder damage which would result in replacing the engine.
