In order to reset the radio for a Mazda2 You'll first need to try doing a soft reset. First give the vehicle power but do not start the engine. Next go to Your center console and located the back mute and navigation buttons. Hold down all three of these button for 10 seconds and Your system should reset itself. If You have an older model that does not have these buttons and You cannot get Your radio to unfreeze the easiest way to solve it is to unplug the battery from Your vehicle and let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes. This will reset the entire vehicle back to factory settings and unfreeze Your radio.

If your radio is working strangely, you might need to reset Mazda Bluetooth. When the radio abruptly ceased working while driving or when there are pairing issues, this can be a good solution. You can find more information here: https://windupradio.com/reset-mazda-radio/
