How do i reset the mercedes w211 air suspension?

If the air suspension is not working properly in Your Mercedes W211 then You should try to reset the system. To allow the air compressor system to reset all You will need to do is disconnect the positive and negative battery cables from the battery and touch them together. You then should let those sit for about ten minutes to allow the system to power down completely. Once the vehicle has lost all power You can connect it back to the battery and then turn it back on. The air suspension should fire up and start working after that. If it is not working right then You should inspect the compressor and the lines to make sure that there are no leaks.

My air suspension wasn’t working I tried to disconnect on the battery my cables weren’t long enough to touch so I left them disconnected for about 15 minutes it worked the self leveling system is back to normal

@Mark Gaska, I had the same problem. Traced it to mis-matching air hose seals at the top of the struts: the new struts had slightly deeper holes there, the original seals stopped short of sealing properly. Cut off old brass seals from the hose, fitted new ones, problem solved
