If Your alarm system is not working properly in Your Nissan Altima then You may need to reset the system to get it working again. It is a pretty easy process and it just takes a few steps. First You will need to lock the vehicle using the key in the driver's door and then unlock it using that key as well. Next You will need to put the vehicle in the on position without the engine running and wait for the antitheft light to turn off. This can take up to 5 minutes. After that You should be able to start the car. If You have repeated problems with Your alarm system I recommend letting Nissan take a look at it to make sure there are no serious faults with the computer.
