In order to reset the oil life indicator on Your 2017 Toyota RAV4 You'll first need to start the engine and press the disp or trip button until Your panel says trip A. Once there You can move the ignition in to the lock position but do not run the motor. Now hold down the trip button while moving the key in to the OFF position. Finally You will need to turn the key back in to the lock position and let go of the button. You're indicator should be now be reading 0 miles and You'll be able to use Your vehicle as normal again.

The following directions will reset the oil light on your toyota highlander: switch the ignition switch to the "on" position but do not start the engine. If your car has a start push button, click the "start" button without hitting the brake pedal. Click the odometer knob briefly until you see "trip a." First, click the "off" ignition button and hold the reset trip odometer button and change the ignition switch to "on" position. Keep holding the reset trip odometer button until the indicator shows "000000" miles and the maintenance light turns off.
