The Subaru Starlink infotainment system can be rebooted by pressing and holding the power button for at least 15 seconds. If You are looking to perform a factory reset go into the Settings menu on Your display screen then select "Factory Data Reset". The system will ask if You are sure then You can press the green Reset button. The system will then restart. Consumers have reported many issues with Starlink such as freezing, head unit failure, a blank display screen, intermittent functioning of the radio, and an unresponsive touchscreen. A lawsuit was issued in 2018 for failure of the head units as well as inability to fix the issues from updates issued by the maker.

None of these things worked. What a bust, why have a"factory reset" or "delete" individual device button ifall those buttons are greyed out and not usable?

None of the above worked on my new 2023 Outback. Not real happy as it appears I will have to drive back to the dealership to have this done (road trip around 35 miles one way!)

Tonight my 2015 Impreza screen was unresponsive to any touch functions. However, my steering wheel stereo controls still worked, and so I was able to cycle through different sources, etc. And then after that, on my next restart of the car the touch screen appears to be working normally again. Weird techno-gremlins.
