When the radio is not working properly in Your VW Tiguan the first thing that You should try to do is reset it. To reset the radio all You will need to do is press and hold the mode and scan buttons at the same time until You see the number 1000 appear on the screen and then let go of them. This will force the unit to reboot. If this does not fix the problems with Your radio or it is not powering on at all the first thing You should do is check the fuses. Make sure that these are in tact. If they are good then You may need to remove the head unit and make sure that the wiring is tight on it.

You can see the word "SAFE" appear on your radio monitor to reset the VW Tiguan phone. Press and hold the "mode" and "safe" buttons at the same time before the number "1000" appears on the radio monitor. Take hands off the numbers as soon as the "1000" is seen. Enter your 4-digit radio address. Using the # 1 button to enter the first number.
