The auto stop start function of the 2015 Chevy Malibu cannot be permanently disabled through conventional means. It is designed to remain on and active unless the system detects operating temperatures or circumstances that temporarily disable it. If the ambient temperature is excessively hot or cold, the energy required to maintain the engine's operating temp will be directed away from auto stop start and it will be disabled. Also, if the car's gears are in any gear other than drive or the Malibu's main battery is on low charge, the feature will be switched off. However, a driver may control how frequently it cycles by depressing the AC button. If the AC button is green, the "eco mode" maximizes the number of auto stop start cycles, and if the button is yellow, or in comfort mode, the number of cycles will be MINImized or reduced.

To turn off auto stop in a chevy malibu press the auto start stop button located on the dash until the light goes off.
Open the hood, behind the hood latch is a black and purple sensor. Unplug the sensor and the car will always think the hood is open permanently disabling the stop/start function

The only why to turn off the auto stop on a 2014 or a 15 model Chevy Malibu is too open the hood then turn on ur car but it really is a pain after a while because something we forget.

Open the hood disconnect the black and purple hood latch sensor, the car will always think the hood is open which permanently disables auto stop/start
Cut one of the wires going to the hood latch sensor. Run a switch wire into the car. Mount an aftermarket switch on or under your dash. When the switch is in the ON position, your car will show the hood is closed (when it really is closed). When it's in the OFF position, your car will always think it's open, whether it's open or closed. Get in the car. Turn the switch off, start the car, turn the switch back on. Your car will show the hood is closed and the auto stop is disabled. No getting out of the car to close the hood after starting.

However I read on a forum and it works although it's a real pain open the hood then start the car then close the hood Auto Stop will be bypassed until you turn the switch off and restart the car
