If You need to unlock a Chevy Silverado with a slim jim You will need to slide it between the window and the door. From there You will need to grab the door lock release cable located in the door and pull up on it. I would never recommend anyone use a slim jim on their vehicle because it can damage Your window gaskets or glass. This can lead to water getting into Your door and damaging electrical components and Your window track. If You are locked out of Your truck call a licensed locksmith and they will be able to get into Your vehicle for You without causing any damage to any components in Your truck.

Line up a slim jim with a lock and push it down toward the hole. When the lock starts to move, pull the slim jim upward until the door unlocks.
