The location of the cabin air filter for the 2020 Ford Escape is not located behind the glovebox, in-fact the location for the 2013 through the 2019 models are also not behind the glovebox. The location of it is on the front passenger side of the vehicle on the left corner of the footwell. To access the cabin air filter You will need a T20 torx driver. You will need to remove the covers to the securing tabs by pinching them and pulling them then remove the bottom panel from the gloveboxAssembly. After doing that You will see the filter housing cover with a screw that You will need to remove with the torx driver. Then just pinch the tabs of the filter housing and pull outward and then You can see the cabin air filter.

UNDER the GLOVE BOX usualy under a TRAP DOOR! BE SURE to get a genuine HEPA filter to keep FLU and COVID out of the cabin! It wile have ACTIVATED BAMBOO CHARCOAL ( ABC) in it! NAd ADD a COPPER MESH as COVID cannot live on COPPER for very long!
