To disable the Toyota Tacoma's seat belt alarm, place the key in the ignition and turn to the "on" position without starting the truck. Locate the small plug/button that controls the odometer on the driver's instrument panel, usually located to the right of the gauge. Cycle between the "trip and "reading" options until the display reads "ODO." Turn the ignition to the "off" position, but leave the key inserted. Turn the fob to the "on" position and hold down the odometer knob again, but this time for 10-15 seconds. Put on Your seatbelt, keeping the knob depressed. Release the knob and the instrument panel should read "B off." The chimes will no longer sound if the belt is disengaged.

The toyota tacoma seatbelt alarm can be turned off by holding your trip reset for 12-15 seconds, then fasten your seatbelt, then release and press one time.

I took my 3rd gen taco to the dealer and asked if they would turn off the seatbelt chime they said they wouldn’t do it (some BS about safety) since my truck is an automatic and shifts like c**p, I paid for a tune, and while the tuner was plugged in to the truck I asked him to delete the chime and also added more lane change blinks on the turn signal. Those two little things are helpful, and oh BTW the truck shifts great now..
Fasten the belt that will stop the warning light and alarm

Newer Tacomas can get the seatbelt buzzer turned off at the dealer. I’m going to get it done at my first service appointment
