The Acura MDX should be able to last longer than 200,000 miles as long as You do the regular maintenance. The most important thing to get a car to last a long time is always doing all the servicing. Changing the fluids regularly in Your SUV helps protect the engine and other components from damage. Getting scheduled maintenance done is also a good opportunity for a mechanic to inspect Your vehicle. It is much easier to fix small problems as they come up rather than let them lead to larger problems when they get worse in Your car. A little bit of money spent on maintenance can save You a lot of money in repair bills.

My 2008 MDX had required a replacement of the whole steering rack at about 215,000kms. Apart from regular maintenance, it has required minor repairs through out my use - replaced catalytic converter, a couple of O2 sensors, a couple of accessory tensioners and the alternator. Currently on its third pair of rear shocks and second pair of front struts. I am the second owner. I've had the car since 144,000kms and has been using it as a work truck carrying lots of tools in trunk all the time. Currently the car is 12 years old and has 455,000 kms. Engine and transmission are original and in great shape. The car still works well, won't be selling it. Highly recommend.

I own a 2007 MDX and it has over 200k miles. It has so far only required the scheduled maintenance. Best vehicle by far I have ever owned. When the time comes to purchase a new vehicle I will be just upgrading to a newer model.

There are numerous reports of the acura mdx lasting more than 200,000 miles with a reasonable amount of maintenance.

I am the original owner of a 2004 MDX base model and it has 167,000 miles on it.I just had to have one of the radiator fan motors replaced so I went ahead and had the timing belt water pump thermostat battery and all the fluids flushed and replaced. I think it’s in tiptop shape. I plan to keep it for at least another hundred thousand miles.

I have a 2017 Acura MDX SH-AWD that has been regularly serviced with 140,000 miles. It needs a new motor. There is a recall for the issue I am having (bearings, common issue with newer Acura’s)but somehow mine isn’t covered. Had a 2003 Honda Pilot with 300,000 miles that never broke down once! Ran the hell out of it and didn’t service it as often as I should have. Be weary of 2016-2020 MDX’s or you may be facing a $10,000 engine replacement(USED ENGINE)
