The Lexus IS250 has an impressive life expectancy at 300,000 miles. This is up to triple that of many other vehicles. As a luxury car, drivers wouldn't expect any less from their vehicle. In order to keep Your car in tip top shape, You should make sure to follow regular maintenance recommendations. This includes regular oil changes, brake fluid checks, and tire rotations, as well as cabin air and fuel filters. This should be done on average between 6 months and 12 months, or between 5,000 and 10,000 miles.

The motor may last you 300,000 miles but not the transmission because it starts to go out at 120,000 miles, dealership doesn’t tell you to do a oil change on the transmission every 30k miles for it could last you and when you finish paying it out you need a new transmission, just like a Ford

My Lexus 2009 is250 has 221,x*x miles still runs very well no tranny issues. Only thing I’ve had to replace is tired constantly, which has been a pain in the rear. Also, I’ve only had to replace thermostat. Other than that, she runs great!

Had my 2007 Lexus IS 250since 2013, the engine was replaced at 125k due to a recall for carbon build up. It now has 300k miles on it and the only problem is the amp is blown in the speakers and leather is ripped. Still drives like a champ

Bought a used 2009 IS250 AWD 5 years ago with 57k miles. Now at 124k and still running great - everything has been routine maintenance / upkeep, no surprises. Just bought winter and summer rims, tires, IS2 conversion bumper, VLAND lights and the car looks like and feels like its 4 years old when it's in fact 13. That being said: DO change the transmission fluid every 60k miles. DO use carb cleaner every 3 months. Always use synthetic oil and premium gas. Consider switching the headlights for VLAND as the old lights are sub-par. First thing to go will be the O2 sensors and the exhaust. Expect to replace exhaust at 150k. Best deal you could find is finding a 2013 with less than 80k miles. If you can find an IS350 I would get that too.

I have a 2006 IS 250 that is at 221,827 miles and still running. My transmission wears out earlier than expected though, but Lexus replaced them for free. I’m still debating if I should sell or keep them.
