If You keep up with the manufacturer's suggested maintenance while also making sure You keep up with major services and regular oil changes, The Toyota Avalon should last You well over 100k miles. These cars are designed to last a long time. There are some things You can do while You own to car to make it last longer. Don't ignore gauges, Lights, or Alerts. Ignoring these warning lights could leave You stranded on the side of the road or cause extensive and expensive damage to Your vehicle if You continue to drive. Keep an eye on Your fluids and check them regularly. Change Your air filters. Inspect and Rotate Tires.

Our 2011 Avalon has 294300 miles. Routine maintenance, 2 batteries, 1 brake job, 5 sets of Michelins, 1 alternator, doesn't get better than that.

Problem with an Avalon? The thing runs forever and you just can’t justify selling it, because then you start having car payments again. It is the highest in safety, pretty good gas mileage, looks pretty good and shoot, who wants to go through a purchase process and taxes, tags and title….it lasts 300,000

My 2006 Avalon XLF has 315,000 plus right now and still runs good with minor repairs only as long as I kept the oil change always and did not ignore the warning lights.😉

My 2000 Toyota avalon xls just turned 22 years old, 336k miles. Still runs absolutely smooth idles a bit hard. But runs and drives perfect, not much maintenancehas been done, asitd simply not needed with this car. I've replaced a few front end parts but in total I paid 3200 for it, and only put in maybe 1k at most in the 1.5 years I've had it. Not bad at all.
