The lifespan of a Dodge Challenger is dependent on factors such as how well it is taken care of and just luck really. If You take good care of the car and You get lucky it can last anywhere froM200,000 miles to over 400,000 miles. If the car is not taken care of and luck out on things then it might not last very long, maybe as little aS50,000 to 100,000 miles or so. Probably the most important thing You can do for the Challenger is to do oil and filter changes on time. You should do an oil and filter change every SRX months or every 8,000 miles, whichever comes first. The cost of an oil change is between $60 to $70 in labor costs.

This is a big lie as much i like this muscle car it requires lots of maintenance and a big pocket to take care of. Chrysler Co.. Should make them more reliable.(Former owner of a dodge challenger scatpack).

200,000MILES AAAHH HAHAHA! THAT 1 ANSWER KILLS ME. 1ST THE TRANNY IN JUST ABOUT ANY DODGE WITH A 5.7 HEMI R/T IS c**p. THE ENGINE IS TO POWERFUL FOR THE TRANNY. MINE WENT OUT AT 42,000 MILES. HAD TO DO A REBUILD AND IT STILL SHIFTS LIKE ?. ALL MY SPEED SENSORS REPLACED AT UNDER 50,000 MILES. MY FUEL PUMP BURNT OUT AT UNDER 50,000 MILES. THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW AND BATTERY DYING IS AN ISSUE, THAT WAS RECALLED IN ONLY THE 2011 CANADA CHALLYS. BUT HAS GONE ON FROM 2010-2015. ITS EITHER A DESIGN FLAW TO WHERE THE SMART DEVICE IN THE DOOR GETS WET SOME HOW, OR THE DEVICE ITSELF. IVE SEEN THEM MOSTLY COME OUT WITH RUST ALL OVER THEM, SO. THE ELECTRIC STEERING COLUMN ITSELF GETS OUT OF WACK. EVERYTIME YOU REMOVE THE WHEELS IT HAS TO BE RECALIBRATED OR ONCE IN A WHILE YOU HAVE TO DO A SAS CALIBRATION JUST BECAUSE. ALL THE UPDATES TO THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE FREE NO MATTER WHO GOT THE CHALLY FIRST OR WHO HAS IT NOW. DEALERSHIPS SHOULD BE DOING ALL UPDATES WHEN THE VEHICLE IS TRADED IN, FOR THE NEXT OWNER, OR THE VEHICLE SHOULD COME WITH A DEVICE THAT COMES WITH COMPATIBLE SOFTWARE WHERE YOU YOURSELF CAN UPGRADE THE VEHICLE IN THE OBD PIECE. ITS RIDICULOUS THAT WE HAVE TO PAY WHILE THE VEHICLE IS ALREADY HIGH PRICED TO GET UPDATES THAT CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO MALFUNCTION WITHOUT THEM. ITS ALSO SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE BROUGHT UPWHEN PURCHASING THE DAM THING. SO THAT$500-600 PRICE IS WAY WRONG THE DEALERSHIP WHICH IS ABOUT THE ONLY PLACE YOU CAN GET THE PROPER UPDATES TO THE PCM CHARGE YOU ALMOST THAT EACH TIME YOU NEED AN UPDATE WHICH IS APPARENTLY QUITE OFTEN. THE OIL CHANGES ALONE AT A DEALERSHIP IS A MINIMUM OF $100-179. TIRES DEPENDING ARE ANYWHERE FROM $600-$1200 OR MORE. MAINTENANCE EVERY SO MANY THOUSANDS OF MILES WHICH DEPENDS ON HOW MANY YOU DRIVE A YEAR, JUST TO PARK YOUR CAR BEFORE THEY EVEN TOUCH IT IS $149 DONT EVEN HAVE TO LOOK AT IT. I CAN TELL YOU THIS, MY DREAM CAR HAS TURNED INTO A NIGHTMARE AND ALL DODGE HAS TOLD ME IS TO BAD, NO QUITE LITERALLY, THAT ITS ALL ON ME TO TAKE CARE OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF WORK, THAT THEY PURPOSEFULLY BUILT THESE VEHICLES TO FAIL. SUCH A SHAME TOO THEY ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL, AMONG ALL THE MODERN MUSCLE CARS TODAY. SO HOPE THIS HELPS YOU DECIDE AND ANSWERS YOUR QUESTIONED.

Many owners of the dodge challenger are able to drive their vehicles for almost 200,000 miles without major repair.

My 2013 6 cylinder challenger just turned 200,000 miles. No real major repairs. Also, the rear break pads are still the original pads and so are the belts

I've had my 2016 Scat Pack Shaker over 5.5 years and over 91k miles. Besides the water pump issues and noisy rear which they replaced and it's been quiet and smooth, it's been solid and still runs like new. I'm hopeful to see another 100k miles easy but time will tell...

I too hope I didn’t make a bad investment, I think the 2018 Dodge Challenger look awesome however I am concerned on how it will hold up. They say us them to race, the times I have done WOT there times I hear a sound from the rear differential that I don’t think I shouldn’t be hearing. I bought the Challenger with 26,000 miles, I put a 1000 miles on It obviously I didn’t keep my foot in it the whole time. At the same time I was driving it a little hard learning what the car can do. However after I started hearing this sound I have let off quite a bet. I paid cash for my 6.4 L and the last thing I want to do is shell out another 2 grand because the rear differential goes out on me. Or what causing the sound. That dose not mean I am not going to drive like I want to. That why I bought for, I just it holds up like Dodge says it will. I do understand the more you race the car the sooner things will ware or brake on the car. But there a limit on what acceptable breakage and then constant damages that happen when you race it. Or just driving the car what I keep reading Dodge makes it sound like they have built the car for racing and say that what it for. I just hope they built the challenger to withstand the racing or is it going to be a challenge just to keep it running as nice as when I bought it. I often wonder why the person sold the car with only 26,000 mile? It’s a fun car to drive I just hope it holds up like they claim it should or it could get sold at 28,000 miles

2014 Challenger with 225,000 miles on her. No major repairs. Only normal stuff like brakes and shocks. Original battery! And belts. Treat them right and they’ll treat you right!!
