An AudiA3 is expected to last between 150,000 and 200,000 miles before any major work needs to be such as a transmission or an engine being replaced. Older models will not last as long as the newer generation of Audi vehicles. In order to get Your vehicle up to the 200k mark or higher You're going to need to take proper care of it. This will include regular oil changes and transmission fluid changes when they need to be done. Your vehicle will have a longer life You use premium fuel in it. If You're buying this vehicle new it would be a great idea to get an extended warranty on it.

1999 A3 1.8 Turbo. 240 000 on the clock. Perfect on recent compression test, 3 changes of cam belt. Sub frame bushes made a difference. Transmission fine. Going strong! Famous last words...
