I have a 2009 Hyundai Accent with over 209,000 miles on it. I'm amazed that I've only had to do maintenance on it with the exception of 2 things that went wrong with it: 1) Sometime after it hit 100k, I had to replace an oxygen sensor for around $125. 2) After I hit 209k (just recently)I had to replace the brake light switch for $80. This week I had a radiator flush and inquired regarding any potential preemptive maintenance, given the age of the car. My mechanic told me it needed nothing and it was in terrific shape. He said these cars are known for reliability. The engine is smooth and runs very well. Hyundai has won my loyalty.

I have a 2009 Hyundai accent, I bought it a few years back and have had good luck with it. Currently it has 134k miles. I keep up with oil changes and maintenance. Luckily it's a fairly easy car to work on and parts are easy to get.
I have a 2013 Hyundai Accent hatchback. We bought it new. Have done regular oil changes with synthetic. Very little maintenance and easy to work on. To date it has 215,000 miles. Everything is original with the exception of one rear brake caliper. Only failed due to winter road treatments is my guess. Most reliable car I have ever owned and I have owned Honda and Toyota. Still averages 33 mpg. Well powered little car. Can’t say enough good things about it.

The hyundai accent reliability ranking is 4.5 Out of 5.0, Which places 5 out of 21 for sub-compact vehicles. The extent and amount of maintenance are also much lower than other cars, and the accent is one of the most durable vehicles on the road.

My Hyundai Accent is 10 years old with 31,000 miles and it just started giving me problems now.. Shutting off on me unexpectally, check engine light is ahowing. I was told it has to be the crank sensor so I am taking it ro the dealer.. Other than that the car has been reliable and is economic.

I have bought Hyundais since 2003. Why? I read in Consumer Reports once that BMW engineers came to Hyundai for help in building race car BMW Engines. This fact alone sold me on a Hyundai car. Im still driving my Hyundai accent. A 2017 car runs like a new car. I have almost 202,000 miles on it. Great car from a great company.

I bought my Accent new in 2001 and have driven all around Australia in her, including on some pretty rough dirt roads. She's never let me down, having had regular servicing. She's on 270,000 km (168000 miles) now and needs new front suspension, the first major repair she's required.

I have had my 2004 Accent since October 2007 when it had 42,000 miles on it. It’s a base model 2 door sedan with a manual transmission. Now it has almost 215,000 miles on it. No leaks. Oil changed at 3,000 miles no matter if the oil is still decent or not. Oil is clean inside the engine. No sludge at all. Tune up when due. Timing belt replaced every 60-70,000 miles. I put fuel cleaner in the gas tank about every 3rd or 4th fill up. Just simple routine maintenance.
