The average cost for a replacement mount from a repair shop will range from $350 to $450 depending on the labor and parts. Some of the symptoms of a bad engine mount are impact noises coming from the engine bay, excessive vibrations, and engine movement. If You would like to do the repair service Yourself You can purchase the mounts for $60 - $100 depending on the brand and quality.

Although 2 is technically a correct answer there are also two transmission mounts. Sometimes it's hard to diagnose which one is bad. Typically the "dogbone" strut mounts go bad first. There is one on top that you can see easily next to the passenger side cowl.

The 2007 Nissan Altima has 2 engine mounts at connects the engine to the frame of the vehicle. It is typically made of two metal mounting plates connected by a rubber insulator. This keeps your engine stationary when driving or revving. The rubber insulators also absorb vibration so the engine's movement isn't felt in the rest of the vehicle.
