The 2001 Nissan Pathfinder will come equipped witH2 oxygen sensors. They will both be under the hood of the vehicle and near the catalytic converter. The first one will be upstream of the converter and the second one will be downstream of the converter. If You can located the converter it will be very easy for You to find the sensors. A single replacement sensor for this vehicle will cost between $10 and $20. If You need a pair of them it will be between $25 and $40. The failure of the sensor for this vehicle is a common known issue.

The 2001 Nissan Pathfinder oxygen sensor varies by engine size. The sensors are located either underneath the hood or underneath the car. The oxygen sensors are connected (screwed) to the exhaust pipe, either in front or back of the catalytic converter. The front (upstream) sensors measure the amount of oxygen in the exhaust system. The rear (downstream) sensors are located behind the catalytic converter.
