The 2001 Toyota RAV4 haS4 oxygen sensors. The coolant needs to be changed every 60,000 miles or so. Your air filter needs to be changed every 15,000 to 30,000 miles or so. The spark plugs need to be replaced every 100,000 miles unless it's a copper one. A cooper spark plug needs to be replaced every 30,000 miles. You will come into many problems with an engine. A gasket may become loose and that needs to be tightened up. A spark plug may come off, causing engine issues. You can have oil leaks and those need to be repaired quickly. A serious problem is the engine overheating. This may lead to fires and the vehicle exploding. There could be excessive oil use, requiring the oil to be changed sooner than expected.

The 2001 Toyota RAV4 oxygen sensor varies by engine size. The sensors are located either underneath the hood or underneath the car. The oxygen sensors are connected (screwed) to the exhaust pipe, either in front or back of the catalytic converter. The front (upstream) sensors measure the amount of oxygen in the exhaust system. The rear (downstream) sensors are located behind the catalytic converter.
