This engine will have a motor oil capacity of 4.2 US quarts when the filter is included and 3.9 US quarts when it is not. You will need to use 5W-30 synthetic motor oil for this vehicle. Since it has a small capacity You will be fine purchasing a 1.25 gallon jug to fill up the engine as that will be equal to 5 quarts. These normally cost between $20 and $35 depending on what brand You buy and where You shop.

The 2016 Chevy Cruz LT 1.4l I-4 takes 4.2qts. Adding the incorrect oil level will cause damage to your engine in the long run.

The 2016 Chevy Cruze takes roughly 3.5 quarts of oil for the 1.4-liter I-4 engine. Be careful not to overfill the oil - it can damage the engine.
