Depending on Your chosen configuration, the 2018 Ford Expedition weighs in somewhere between a MINImum of 5,443 pounds and a maximum of 5,692 pounds. This isn't a terribly large range because every '18 Expedition comes with the same 3.5L V6 engine, thus eliminating one of the biggest variations in a typical vehicle's curb weight. If You're looking for a comparison, these numbers are right in line with newer model years of the Expedition -- in fact, they match up exactly with the 2019 and 2020 model years. They're a bit lighter than the 2017'S5,562 to 5,789 pounds range, and also represent a downsize from the 2018 Expedition Max'S5,544 to 5,793 pounds -- the later is understandable, as the Max carries the marketing tag line "Big, Bold, and Bodacious".

Interestingly, the 2018 Ford Expedition has four recorded weights it shares between its eight trim styles. The Expeditions with "MAX" in their name, the MAX XLT, the MAX Limited, the MAX Platinum and the MAX XL Fleet all share a rear wheel drive weight of 5544 pounds. These models also all come in four wheel drive. That weight is again the same amongst all trim levels at 5793 pounds. All these vehicles also come in a non-max version. The XLT, the Limited, the Platinum and the XL Fleet weigh 5692 pounds in their four wheel drive versions and 5443 in their rear wheel drive versions.
