The 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 series has 195 to 403 horsepower depending on the options that You choose. For the 2010 model year there were four different engine options avaialble. The first engine was the 4.3L V6 that had 195 horsepower. The next upgrade is the 4.8L V8 witH295 horsepower. Above that was the 5.3L V8 that had 315 horsepower. The flagship engine is the 6.2L V8 which haS403 horsepower. If You are interested in towing it is always a good idea to get the largest engine that You can budget because it will give You greater towing power especially on the highway. The larger engines also decrease the zero to 60 times of the truck, making it more sporty to drive.
