The 2012 Ford F-250 6.7 Liter power stroke engine is recommended to use a Full synthetic oil SAE 10w-30 for all weather temperatures and if You are using the truck in severe or harsh weather conditions will require 5w-40. The truck has an oil capacity listed at 13 quarts by the manufacturer. If You are planning on replacing the oil make sure to get an oil filter as well because it will need to be replaced at the same time. The cost for oil will vary depending on the brand but a quart of oil starts at $5 and can get up to $12 per quart. If You get an oil change from an auto service shop it will be more because of the amount of oil it requires.

The ford 6.7L powerstroke engine has a total oil capacity of 13 quarts, including the capacity of the oil filter. For a 6.7 powerstroke engine, normal-use trucks and vehicles should have the right oil with 10w-30 rating.
