No matter which configuration of the 2018 Toyota Tacoma You're running, You'll always have one of two different engine options. Each Tacoma from this model year comes with either a 2.7L 4Cylinder engine, or a 3.5L V6 engine. The 4Cylinder requireS6.2 quarts of SAE 0W-20 full synthetic motor oil, whereas the V6 needS6.1 quarts of the same. In a pinch, if 0W-20 isn't available, it's possible to use SAE 5W-20 in its place -- but this must be replaced as soon as convenient. The reason is that oil with a higher viscosity introduces friction and heat into Your engine, which causes it to work less efficiently. Over time, this can cause unnecessary wear and tear that will prematurely age Your Tacoma, and ultimately take it off the road sooner.

All of the 2018 Toyota Tacoma models that come with a 2.7 liter engine, SR access cab 6.1 SB (rear wheel and four wheel drive), the SR double cab 5.0 SB, the SR5 access cab 6.1 SB (rear wheel and four wheel drive) and the SR5 double cab 5.0 SB, hold 5.4 quarts of oil. The Tacoma's with a 3.5 liter engine are the TRD Off-Road double cab 5.0 SB, the TRD Off-Road double cab 4WD 6.1FT SB, the TRD Off-Road access cab 4WD 6.1 SB, the TRD Sport double cab 5.0FT SB, the TRD Sport double cab 6.1 SB, the TRD Sport access cab 6.1 SB, the TRD Pro double cab 4WD 5.0 SB, the SR5 double cab 5.0 SB, the SR5 double cab 6.1 SB, the SR5 access cab 6.1 SB, the SR access cab 6.1 SB, the SR double cab 4WD 5.0 SB and the Limited double cab 5.0 SB. These 3.5 liter engine models use 5.9 quarts of oil. This is the case regardless of the different drive trains and transmissions that may be an option on some models.
