The 2011 Ford Focus useS4.5 quarts of SAE 5W-20 motor oil. Ford also recommends that You use synthetic oil when You need to change it to give You better wear protection. Oil comes in two main styles, conventional and synthetic. Conventional oil is made of petroleum, and synthetic oil is engineered in a laboratory to be able to give better protection for Your engine components. Conventional oil will need to be changed every 3,500 to 5,000 miles, and full synthetic only needs to be changed every 7,500 miles. You should check the oil in Your car at least once a month to make sure that it is full. I would also suggest making sure that there are no signs of metal or burning in Your engine either.
