The 2003 Nissan Maxima uses up to 4.4 quarts of SAE 5w-30 fully synthetic motor oil in its engine. You can find this oil in one-quart containers, and You will need 4 quarts to complete a full oil change. You can find the bottles at most major retailers, from any automotive parts locations, and from a variety of online sellers and websites. You will need to pay between $3.43 and $12.85 per bottle. You may also want to purchase a funnel between $1 and $3 to aide You in refilling the reservoir properly. Before pouring new oil in, You will need to have Your vehicle jacked up, and loosen the drain nozzle valve on the bottom of the reservoir. This will prevent damage to the engine from old oil clogging it.

4.4 quarts of 5W-30 oil, during an oil change. Be sure to replace the filter as well.
