Performing oil changes on Your vehicle is very important. When doing them Yourself, You need to not only use the right type of oil but also the correct amount. For 2009 Toyota Highlanders, they take 6.4 quarts of oil with filter. The total cost for carrying out this DIY task is only about $60 for this particular vehicle. It is recommended that You use synthetic oil on this car, especially since there is an older engine in it. Synthetic blends contain less fillers and chemicals that could do damage or result in a more difficult operation of the driving force for Your car. For this reason, spend a little extra and get the good stuff when doing Your own lube job.

The 2009 Toyota Highlander with the 2.7L inline-4 engine takes 5 quarts synthetic oil, while the 2009 Toyota Highlander with the 3.3.L V6 engine takes 5 quarts of synthetic oil, and the 2009 Toyota Highlander with the 3.5L V6 engine takes 6.4 quarts of synthetic oil.

2009 Toyota Highlander with the 3.5L V6 engine takes 6.4 quarts of synthetic oil. I think it is correct, but old cars have a lot deposit in the engine and all of oil can not coming out, so 6.4 quarts too much.
