Replacing the tire pressure sensors in a Toyota Prius is somewhat of an involved task. In order to replace the sensors You will need to remove the tires and wheels, and then remove the wheel from the tire itself to access the sensor assembly that is installed on the inside of the wheel. The parts to replace the tire pressure sensors are about $35 to $40 per wheel, but the labor can add up since it is a time intensive job. Expect to spend about $250 to $300 to replace all four tire replacement sensors in Your car depending on the local labor rates in Your area. It is always a good idea to have Your sensors checked or replaced whenever You get new tires so that it is not a separate thing.

The average cost to replace the TPMS sensor at a local dealer or repair shop in your Toyota Prius vehicle is $150-$260 per wheel.

Go to Costco. Just got 4 new sensors on my 2010 Prius and it was $250 total. Do not get ripped off by a "local"shop. Called one and they quoted $130 to diagnose and then $150-$200 per wheel to replace.

I have a 2013 Prius just bought some new tires from Walmart. First thing the Tire pressure sensor light started blinking. At first I wanted to run back to Walmart and have them find and fix what they did. Then I read that the battery inside the sensors usually last about 10 years. I looked at the prices for seniors and thinking each wheel needs to be broken down by me or someone else was a pretty expensive .Replacing the sensors seemed the best answer but not the final if something happens to a tire or change of tires. InAmazon I found some pretty inexpensive kits that have valve caps with sensors in thecaps and I picked one of the low cost solar readers . It tells pressure in each tire and t empure. I like the ideal of seeing each pressure and which wheel is doing what temp.

So sensors have to be replaced on all four tires if the symbol of a circle with an exclamation point is on and The Prius Has been diagnosed that it is the problem the sensor.
