The typical cost to replace the torque converter on the 2014Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is going to usually be anywhere between $200 and $500 for the parts you'll need, and another $750 to $1k for the labor to actually do it. While you can drive with a bad torque converter, doing so will likely destroy your whole drive train when it snaps. Signs that you've got one that's failing are your truck slipping out of gear or there being a delay when shifting, as well as overheating of the tranny, and contaminated fluid in it as well. You may also feel shuddering when shifting and unusual sounds from the engine.

I literally just walked out of the dealer to have this done. $675 in parts for the torque converter and seals, etc. And $1700 in labor. Thank God they were able to reach me regarding my extended warranty with all those calls. Saved me $2000.

Replacing the torque converter on your 2014 chevy silverado can be costly, anywhere from 700 to 1,300 dollars in parts and labor, but you may need this repair if you notice your vehicle making strange noises, slipping or vibrating.
