To adjust the Hyundai Elantra headlights, watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BjENirVymxo Being able to see at night is key for driving down the road. Your lights need to be functioning or you may get into a crash. Some issues will arise at some point. Blown fuse may come about. A failed relay means a failed light source. Corrosion is very nasty to deal with. A faulty wire could come about. Lights may burn out prematurely. These issues need to be dealt with pronto. These issues need to be dealt with as soon as possible. The light bulbs will burn out eventually. If it becomes too dim, you will have to change them. They aren't super expensive, so they won't hurt your life savings.

The general rule is the center of projected brightness shouldn't be higher than three feet at a distance of 25 feet. The center of brightness for each headlight shouldn't diverge much from the original distance between the headlights too. That is, if your headlights are 60 inches apart on the car, you shouldn't let the center of brightness for the headlights projected at 25 feet be more than around 125% that distance. In this case, that's 75 inches. This will ensure the maximum distance of projection, the best illumination of the roadway, and still allow for some peripheral illumination. The key is to not allow such a wide separation that there is a decrease in brightness between the projected beams. As long as the projected field of light is uniform in brightness, you can keep separating the beams. Once there is a dip in brightness, dial it back. That would be your maximum safe beam spread. Of course, if you want a pro to set it up, you could take your headlights to a collision center. Places that repair cars that have been in crashes do a LOT of headlight alignments and probably wouldn't charge much for the service. A lot of dealerships have collision centers on their property or that they directly work with. Places that sell used cars deal with collision repairs a LOT (as they basically fix up junkers they buy at auction). They could probably point you to a good shop.

There are screws on the head lights. You can turn them and they will turn the lights. Turn them till you get them where you want them.
